2024 Advocacy Day
We are thrilled to report that the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Day was a resounding success!
This pivotal event amplified the voices and interests of the black business community, fostering an atmosphere of unity and mutual support. We were incredibly honored to have Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears as our keynote speaker at our evening reception. Her inspiring words underscored the importance of our mission and energized us all for the work ahead. We appreciate her time and support.
Additionally, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Delegates Josh Cole, Candi Mundon-King the General Assembly for our proclamation, a formal public declaration that recognizes our organization's efforts in promoting economic prosperity and sustainability among black-owned businesses in Virginia.
For those unfamiliar with what a proclamation is, it is a formal public declaration often issued by local government officials to make certain announcements or celebrate specific events, milestones, or individuals. You can read the full proclamation under House Resolution 77 Commending the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce here.
Thank you everyone for joining us at the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Day!
Thank you to our Sponsors
Looking ahead, we plan to present a legislative agenda during next year's Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce Advocacy Day. In the meantime, the role of the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce will be to create a legislative agenda and regularly facilitate conversations about how black business owners can be more involved in the ecosystem and economic growth of Virginia. Thank you for your generosity and support. Together, we can make this event a resounding success and continue to catalyze positive change within our community.
